Have you come for the Mark of the Searcher? This mark is reserved for those with recognized detection skills. Every year, many Hunters, Scouts, Excavators and even some Assassins come to me in hope of taking the Test of the Searcher. Is this what you seek?

Visit Alex in Floran Village. Once the best scout in the kingdom, he served as King Cadmus' special messenger and spy during the Grecian War.
Disenchanted by the nobility by their actions during the peasant revolt, he now fights alongside the Floran militia. I have heard that he is hard pressed for supplies and manpower, though. Go see him.
If he evaluates you and is satisfied, he will let me know.
Oh, take this Dimension Diamond. You can trade it to the village gatekeeper for something special that may help you on your journey.

Alex asks you to meet with Leirynn, his aide. She'll tell you what to do.
Leirynn orders you to kill the Delu lizardman Shaman in this area. Monster to Hunt - Delu Lizardman Shaman
Collect: Delu Totem × 10
You've destroyed the Delu lizardman Shaman. Report back to Leirynn.

You've defeated Kalkis. He has a suspicious map, doesn't he? Return to Leirynn and find out more about it.
Leirynn doesn't know what the map is for and asks you to take it to Captain Alex.
The map shows the location of forgotten gold bars left behind by a general of the Lord's royal guards! Visit Borys in the Town of Gludio who was a royal guard at that time.
Borys isn't going to say a word unless you bring him the best malrukian wine that Tyra can find.
Tyra is willing to exchange the wine for 10 pouches of red spore dust. You can get red spore dust from the giant fungus at the Sea of Spores!
