Quest steps
Dabrigit found an old folio in Mlan’s library, but he can’t read it. So he asks you to deliver the folio to Gerald Priest of the Earth, who lives in Dwarven Village, to translate the book.
You inform Gerald of Dabrigit’s request. Gerald agrees to help, but asks for a return service.
Gerald requires writing facilities to record the translation. Go to the Eastern Mining Zone and pick up the Quill Pen for writing from the Red Eye Barbed Bat. Target: Red Eye Barbed Bat.
Collect: Quill Pen × 10
You have collected the Quill Pen at the request of Gerald. Return to the Earth Priest Gerald in the Dwarves Village.
Gerald has finished translating and informed you that his acquaintance knows something about the ancient magic of the Earth. Go to Blueprint Seller Reeya in Blacksmith's Shop in Gludin Village.
Mailland agrees to help Dabrigit and hand him her grandmother’s old staff. In return, she asks for a favor. Go to Strip Mine to Foreman Laferon and take money from him.
Laferon sighs for undivided love and hands you a wallet full of gold. Take Wallet to Trader Reeya at Blacksmith's Shop in Gludin Village.
Mailland thanks you for your wallet and gives you Ancient Branch. She also reports that Blacksmith Alltran from the Talking Island Village possesses a magical item that will interest Dabrigit. Go to the blacksmith to learn more.
Blacksmith Alltran agrees to help Dabrigit and give him an old ring. But in return he asks for rare ingredients for him. Go to Abandoned Coal Mines and get a rare ingredient from golems - Power of Earth. Target: Pitchstone Golem.
Collect: Power of Earth × 10
You have collected Power of Earth at the request of Alltran. Return to Blacksmith Alltran in the Talking Island Village.
Alltran thanks you for the ingredients and gives you the Antique Ring. He also tells you about the Spirit of the Earth that lives in the Ruins of Agony. Go there to learn more.
Earth Snake warmly welcomes the young knowledge seeker and offers to fill the collected objects with force. In return, the Snake asks to punish lizards that destroy magical plants. Go to Fellmere Harvesting Grounds and take from Felim Lizardman Warrior Magic plant. Target: Felim Lizardman Warrior.
You have taken from the lizards the Magic Plant. Return to the Earth Snake in the Ruins of Agony.
As a reward for your help, the Earth Snake gave you the Essence of the Earth. Go to Dabrigit Stoneshoulder in Gludin to hand over the collected items.
